Westland's Safe Walking Routes map:
North of 7000 S, east of the canal to 2700 W: There are no sidewalks in this neighborhood and no crossing guard at 7000 S and 2700 W. Parents and students need to use caution.
North of 7000, west of the canal and east of 3420 W: Students can follow designated safe walking route sidewalks to 7000 S and 3200 W, where they can cross with the assistance of the crossing guard.
South of 7000: All neighborhoods have sidewalks that provide a safe walking route to 2700 W, or directly to the school from Bridle Acres St, 7180 S, or 2980 W. A crosswalk is provided at the back of the school leading to a catwalk. All students need to exercise caution using this crosswalk as there is no crossing guard. This area gets congested before and after school with parents picking up and dropping off. This was never intended to be a pick-up/drop-off area and parents are discouraged from using it as such.
